Awesome weekend!

I had such an amazing weekend! I had a wedding with some really cool people (I will post more later on that), then Sunday is our family day and I decided to make my little family go out and shoot a family picture. This is a bit tricky when you have to use your remote and hope that the kids are looking at the camera--but we headed to Gaslight Village in East Grand Rapids, found a big blue wall and it worked out just fine!

Then we headed over to an awesome ice cream shop (Jersey Junction) for some cones and we let the kids get all messy! Just as they were at the peak of their sugar high we headed home. (Can you imagine the noise in the car! UGH!) I guess it doesn't sound like much, but to me this was such an awesome way to spend a few days. Just us goofing off and having fun together!

I should have taken more pictures--but I am always lugging my DSLR around looking like a silly person and its not as easy as carrying around something little that can slip into your purse. What I need is a Point and Shoot for these occasions. Hmmm...maybe a Christmas hint to someone??!!
