Woosh!!! The past month has flown by! Maybe its because I have been non-stop working on events, editing, and well---you name it!
I have been caught in a whirlwind of photography--but I love every minute of it. I guess I get so caught up that I forget to post all about it. Sorry! I never have been great at even writing in a diary much less blogging. So forgive me and I promise this entry is gonna be Loooong since I have a lot of ground to cover!
Weddings
Tammarrie + Phillip
April 28th, 2007
You may remember this couple from their E-session a few months back. Well they had the most awesome wedding day! I was a bit worried as their day approached, because the weather had been not so nice and then their day came and it was beautiful. All the weekdays for a while had been really yucky--but then its like the wedding fairies brought out the sunshine for the weekend. In fact every one of the last 4 weddings were like this....hmmm! Strange! Well that's just a Michigan Spring-time for ya!
Anyway, they really had a gorgeous ceremony and then they had an equally awesome reception! They even were able to head to Jamaica for some more fun and no doubt some much needed R&R (and no they wouldn't pack me in the suitcase no matter how I begged!) I had such a great time working with them!
Here are a few of my faves from their day!
Jayme + Aaron May 12, 2007
Jayme and Aaron are one of my favorite (I know I say that a lot!) They have not only become like friends, but they also have paid me the best compliments! You need to keep people like that in you circle!! LOL
Way back in the fall when Jayme called to inquire if I was open for her date, I was booked (May 19th) and so she changed her date to make sure I could photograph her wedding! What a boost to the EGO!
Anway--after out meeting at Macaroni Grill and then the crazy fun E-session, I think we both knew it was gonna be a blast to work together!
Their wedding was so beautiful! Again the weather rocked! One thing I really loved, they really took the time to make their wedding all about them. Aaron loves to hunt so the guys wore camo vests and ties with their tuxes, and they even wrote their own vows--which included the word "fart" (now you know why they are so fun to be around). We then headed to the beach and some parks where they partied with their friends and got some cool pictures.
The fun certainly didn't end at the reception--I have never seen a wedding where just about every body danced the whole time! They really knew how to party!
I loved working with them--I can't wait until they have babies! I love doing baby pics!
Here are some of my faves again!
Emily + John May 19th, 2007
Emily and John are such an adorable couple! They are both so much fun! I love booking so many fun couples--it makes my job a lot easier! They found me through Emily's dad (he worked with my husband) last fall and I have been amazed by them ever since. They seem to truly be in love and still manage to have become each others best friends! I really admire that and when you watch them you can see that their love will last a lifetime!
Another beautiful wedding day, this time in quaint little downtown Holland, MI the week after the Tulip Festival. If you don't know about the Tulip Festival then you don't know anything about West Michigan!
I had a blast--I mean how many couple's take their wedding party out Glow Bowling after the reception--Gowns, Tuxes and all?!!
Enjoy!
Engagements
These E-sessions both and rocked! I am so in love with taking pictures of poeple who are "so-in-love"! This is also a great way to get to know the couples and for them to get used to me and my style of shooting. Enjoy!
Sarah + Jake E-session
These cuties are got hitched in Holland, MI! They have the cutest little baby boy (only a few month younger than my son) and he might be wearing a little tux, if they can find one! I can't wait for the wedding!
Heather + Jeremy
E-Session
Heather and Jeremy are such a cool laid back couple that love to laugh! They were willing to do anything I asked! Gotta love that...I could really tell that they have fun together--such a key ingredient to a happy life and marriage. We headed down to East Grand Rapids near Gaslight Village to do their E-session because Jeremy had proposed there on a bench by the water at Reed's Lake. We even found that same bench and used it in a couple of shots.
I am so excited to shoot their wedding in Saugatuck near the end of July! I am sure I will be laughing all day!
Boudoir
"Sophia"
Shame on you if your scrolled all the way down here first!
I can't really blame you--this session was pretty steamy!
I normally don't post boudoir on my blog or website to protect the innocent. I do however post them if I am given special permission. I think though to remain discreet--we'll change her name to Sophia.
Anyway, Sophia is a bride to be--who is completely smokin and she wanted to create an awesome gift for her soon to be hubby! Well I think he will really enjoy these pics!
